Children must obey their parents in the Lord. Parents must bring up their children in the Lord. Servants must be obedient towards their masters, as to Christ. Masters have a duty of taking care of slaves too.
Speaking of Spiritual warfare, Paul suggests there is a need for spiritual bodybuilding. He knows it is not easy to maintain these standards. He wants us to have full protective covering, and tells us whom we are fighting against.
Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
We should have the belt of truth buckled around our waist, breastplate of righteousness in place, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. We should take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Finally, wear he helmet of salvation hold the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Praying to the Holy Spirit, we are told to be always be alert.
Paul is sending Tychicus to the Ephesians as an encouragement. He signs off by by wishing them Peace and Grace.
